Emergency Medicine Research Program

Emergency Medicine Researchers of Niagara (EMRoN) is a collaborative initiative between Niagara Health Emergency Medicine South Physicians and McMaster University Niagara Regional Campus (NRC) starting in the summer of 2017. Various clinical projects include quality improvement for ED skin infection care, low back pain, trauma and homeless populations. Despite challenges encountered during the COVID19 pandemic, the team has produced numerous award-winning project abstracts and peer-reviewed publications. An increasing number of research grants and industry partnerships have improved sustainability of this growing program, with more collaborative engagements within Niagara Health and the Niagara community. We look forward to increasing project capacity, dedicated team members, and productive collaborations with key stakeholders in Niagara for years to come.
