Niagara Health's new temporary drive-through COVID-19 Assessment Centre opened this morning, in the parking lot at the Scotiabank Convention Centre in Niagara Falls, for testing hospitality and tourism employees.
When the COVID-19 pandemic began and changes had to be made quickly, Tracey Giovannone, Manager Recruitment and Volunteer Services, and Emile Penner-Cloutier, Manager Organizational Development, worked closely together to make sure the work got done and supported one another every step of the way.
Thank You Rounds, which took place during the end of July, were a way for Niagara Health's Executive Team and senior leaders to thank staff and physicians in person for the extraordinary care they provide to patients and families.
Flooding in one of the areas of the Emergency Department at the St. Catharines Site has been cleaned up, and regular operations have resumed.
The Emergency Department continues to accept walk-in patients at this time, however ambulances have been temporarily redirected to the Greater Niagara General and Welland sites.
