Approximately 1,500 people have participated in Niagara Health’s Essential Care Partners (ECP) program since its launch in January 2021, which recognizes the valuable role loved ones play in patients’ care. The program was developed when restrictions were put in place for visitors to limit the spread of COVID-19.

Ce centre de dépistage au volant offrira des rendez-vous de 8 h à 18 h les mardis et les jeudis.
The Niagara Health assessment centre in St. Catharines is extending its hours twice a week starting on Oct. 19 to increase appointment availability. The drive-in centre will take appointments for a COVID-19 test from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Les femmes âgées de 50 à 74 ans présentant un risque moyen de cancer du sein peuvent prendre rendez-vous pour passer une mammographie (sans recommandation du médecin) tous les deux ans par l’entremise du Programme ontarien de dépistage du cancer du sein (PODCS).
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Niagara Health is urging anyone who is due or overdue for breast screening to schedule an appointment. Women aged 50 to 74 who are at average risk for breast cancer can schedule a mammogram (without a doctor’s referral) every two years through the Ontario Breast Screening Program (OBSP).
Today, Sam Oosterhoff, MPP for Niagara West, along with Robin Martin, Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Health, announced a substantial investment from the province to help cover historic working funds deficits at Niagara Health, as well as an investment through the Health Infrastructure Renewal Fund to address critical upgrades, repairs and maintenance at Niagara Health and Hotel Dieu Shaver Health and Rehabilitation Centre.
