Ray Archer has been involved in the information systems security profession for over 25 years. He is the past Senior Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer at Scotiabank. Ray led a global team of five hundred information security professionals in safeguarding the organization’s information assets in over 55 countries. Prior to joining Scotiabank as Forensics Investigator with Corporate Security in 1998, Ray spent 23 years with the RCMP, where he was involved in complex technical investigations involving commercial / technological crimes.
Ray has a B.A. from the University of Manitoba and held the following designations; Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and Certified Risk Professional (CRP). He is currently serving on the Board of Directors for CAA Niagara. Past board experience includes MacKenzie Health, MacKenzie Innovation Institute and several leading information security organizations. Ray is a resident of St Davids, NOTL.
