Our flags are lowered across all Niagara Health sites today to honour the 215 children whose remains were recently found buried at the site of a former residential school near Kamloops, B.C.
As of 8 a.m. on Monday, May 31, individuals turning 80 and over in 2021 will be eligible to book an earlier second-dose appointment at Niagara Health’s Seymour-Hannah arena clinic as well as other clinics or pharmacies in our region.
Loved ones play an invaluable role in the care of our patients. When visitor restrictions were put in place at Niagara Health to limit the spread of COVID-19 and keep everyone safe, we introduced the Essential Care Partners (ECP) program to ensure our patients would continue to benefit from the support of their loved ones while in the hospital.
COVID-19 vaccine appointments available for youth 12-17 and adults 18+ for the Pfizer vaccine from June 2 to 12 at the Seymour-Hannah Sports and Entertainment Centre.

Today, Niagara Health started scheduling high-risk healthcare workers for their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at a shortened interval. An estimated 13,000 healthcare workers in Niagara will be impacted by this new provincial direction to shorten the second-dose interval.
Niagara Health would like to recognize its nursing teams during National Nursing Week, May 10 to 16. The organization’s nurses have been at the forefront of the fight against COVID-19 and have remained dedicated to providing patients and their loved ones with Extraordinary Caring.
