Niagara Health’s Emergency Departments (EDs) in St. Catharines, Niagara Falls and Welland are the busiest areas of the hospital, seeing nearly 150,000 patients a year — that’s about 400 every day. Our teams work around the clock to deliver safe, quality care to anyone who needs it, no matter the severity or complexity of their condition.

As the year comes to a close, we want to take a moment to reflect on 2024 and express our deepest gratitude to everyone who makes Niagara Health an extraordinary organization, from our staff, physicians and volunteers to the patients and families we serve.
It’s official, not only are the teams at Niagara Health talented, many of them also have very talented and creative children in their lives. Once again, artists answered the call for the 2024 Holiday Artwork Contest for Kids, with 50 submissions.
The art pieces created by local Indigenous artists Alicia-Lynn Morin, Richard Langlois and Delbert JayR Jonathan, were revealed during a special event live-streamed to the community.
Nurse Practitioner Christina Huntington’s care philosophy is rooted in meeting patients where they are and using that compassion and connection to help them recover from hip and other fragility fractures.
