Niagara Health Foundation is thrilled to announce the incredible success of its Fashion & Philanthropy Gala: A Met Gala Experience, which took place on March 1st at Fallsview Casino. The highly anticipated event raised over $720,000 in support of the It's Our Future campaign, the capital fundraising initiative for the new South Niagara Hospital.
One of the most inspiring moments of the evening was the Fund-A-Need segment, hosted by Tim Bolen and Mayor Jim Diodati, which alone generated over $330,000 from 73 donors in the room in under 30 minutes to support state-of-the-art equipment for the surgical suites at the South Niagara Hospital. Among the many generous contributions, the Marotta Family made a standout donation of $100,000, further solidifying their commitment to advancing healthcare in our region.
The sold-out gala welcomed over 750 guests, including esteemed community members, philanthropists, Niagara Health staff and business leaders. A total of 33 corporate sponsors helped make the night possible, with special recognition to our Presenting Sponsor EllisDon, Title Sponsor Precise Parklink, Dinner Sponsor TD, and Host Sponsor Fallsview Casino. We would also like to thank our Premier Sponsors Red X Carbon, Hydro One, Empire Homes, E.S. Fox Construction, Norgen Biotek, Alectra Utilities and Canon Medical Systems Canada.

The evening celebrated not only fashion and philanthropy but also the bright future of healthcare in Niagara. The funds raised directly support the South Niagara Hospital, which is currently under construction at Montrose and Biggar Road in Niagara Falls. The cutting-edge facility will provide state-of-the-art surgical suites, leading-edge medical technology, 469 private rooms, specialized care in aging and wellness, mental health services and enhanced patient care spaces designed to meet the growing needs of our region.
The Fund-A-Need program was the most successful in the gala’s history, thanks to the remarkable generosity of donors such as the Marotta Family, University of Niagara Falls, Precise Parklink, Alectra Utilities, the McKeil Family, the DiCienzo Family, Dr. Chawla, Dr. Chan, the Haj-Ahmad Family Foundation and Niagara Parks among others. Their contributions will make a tangible difference in the lives of patients for years to come.
