This year’s recipients of the Interprofessional Practice Awards demonstrate leadership and excellence in line with Niagara Health’s strategic purpose, vision and values.
The awards are normally presented at a ceremony, but the COVID-19 pandemic changed those plans. While the celebration is different, the level of pride we have for the recipients and nominees remains high.
"Working side by side, the communication between caregivers, patients and their families helps our teams raise the standard of care in Niagara,” says Derek McNally, Executive Vice President Clinical Services and Chief Nursing Executives. “This recognition speaks to the important collaboration of our team. Congratulations to the award recipients and nominees.”
Interprofessional practice combines professionals from across disciplines into one healthcare team to optimize patient care. This model allows our teams to share information, knowledge and best practices to improve patient outcomes.
“All of our nominees are extraordinary professionals who deserve to be recognized, which made picking the winners incredibly difficult for the awards committee,” said Zeau Ismail, Niagara Health Director of Interprofessional Practice, Ethics and Spiritual Care. “We are thankful for their commitment and hard work and are proud of the difference they are making to enhance care and experiences for our patients.”
