Our Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) team is closely monitoring this evolving situation and developing plans in the event we need to escalate infection and prevention controls.
Based on the direction we have received to date from Health Canada, Public Health Agency of Canada, the Ontario Ministry of Health and Public Health Ontario, we remain confident in our current hospital readiness plan should someone present with respiratory symptoms and a travel history to the area in question, Wuhan, China.
To protect everyone, our patient care teams will continue to be vigilant in patient screening.
