Our first-ever Celebrate Summer BBQ held across all Niagara Health sites in July was a sizzling success, raising $3,715 for Niagara Health Foundation.
Niagara Health team members organized the barbecues as a way to bring everyone together to enjoy some fresh air, food and fun. All proceeds raised from the event will be donated to Niagara Health Foundation for purchasing much-needed patient care equipment.
More than 743 staff, physicians, volunteers, students, patients and visitors participated in the barbecues. All money raised was through ticket sales for the purchase of food items.
“Thank you to our generous team members, patients and visitors who participated in the barbecues and a special thanks to Sue Nenadovic and the organizing committee for their hard work and dedication,” says Angela Zangari, Executive Vice President Finance, Operations and CFO. “It was great to see everyone having some fun, while supporting a cause that is close to our hearts.”
We look forward to serving up some more food and fun next year.
