Niagara Health is pleased to announce the recruitment of nationally and internationally renowned Dr. Julian Dobranowski to the position of Chief of Diagnostic Imaging for the organization.
Dr. Dobranowski comes to Niagara Health from St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton where he was the Senior Consultant for Strategic Quality Initiatives and the Director of the Centre of Radiological Anatomy based at the Charlton Campus. He is also an Associate Professor of Diagnostic Imaging at McMaster University. Provincially, Dr. Dobranowski holds the position of Provincial Head for the Cancer Imaging Program at Cancer Care Ontario and Provincial Lead Access to Care MRI and CT.

Dr. Dobranowski trained at the Medical Academy in Krakow, Poland (MD, 1979) before completing his radiology training at McMaster in 1986. Following this, he completed a fellowship in Magnetic Resonance Imaging at the University of Western Ontario in London.
As Chief of Diagnostic Imaging, Dr. Dobranowski will provide physician leadership in the department and oversee planning and quality initiatives. He’ll work in partnership with other Niagara Health leaders to expand our Diagnostic Imaging services in the region while continuing to deliver leading edge radiological services for our patients.
