Niagara Health System’s Withdrawal Management Services in St. Catharines is holding an open house on Tuesday, August 18 from 1-8 p.m.
The open house at 10 Adams St. is being held to highlight changes in the program, including the addition of new life skills and awareness programs and relapse prevention services for our clients.
Community agencies will also be on hand at the open house to provide information on what they offer clients.
Food and refreshments will be served at the open house.
The Withdrawal Management Services is part of NHS’s Mental Health and Addictions Program.

Niagara Regional Men’s Withdrawal Management Service
The Niagara Regional Men’s Withdrawal Management Service (detox), an 18-bed program at 10 Adams St., St. Catharines, is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The centre provides crisis intervention, withdrawal management, rest, nutrition and hygiene restarts, assessments, supportive counseling and self-help groups, consultation, treatment referrals and discharge planning in a supportive, supervised setting for alcohol and other drug issues. No referral is necessary. Inpatient and outpatient support is available.
Niagara Regional Women’s Withdrawal Management Service
The Niagara Regional Women’s Withdrawal Management Service (detox), a 12-bed program at 6 Adams St., St. Catharines, is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The centre provides crisis intervention, withdrawal management, rest, nutrition and hygiene restarts, assessments, supportive counseling and self-help groups, consultation, treatment referrals and discharge planning in a supportive, supervised setting for alcohol and other drugs issues. No referral is necessary. Inpatient and outpatient support is available.
