A multi-faith dedication ceremony was held November 27 for the Spiritual Care Centre at the St. Catharines Site. Participants included members from Baha’i, Christianity, First Nations, Hindu, Judaism and Islam faith traditions as well as Spiritual Care staff, with each of them offering prayers as part of the ceremony.
Family members of Jack and June Johnson also attended and were gratefully recognized for their donation honouring the gift of spirituality in healing and wholeness.
NHS Spiritual Care Coordinator Rev. Doug Jones calls the spiritual centre the “heart of the hospital” and welcomes people of all religious belief and spiritual expression to enjoy the space, easily accessible on the main coordinator of the hospital.
