The news media are invited to join representatives of the Niagara Health System to officially mark Nursing Week May 6 to 10.
Our nurses are an essential part of our healthcare team. At 1,800 strong, our Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses and Registered Practical Nurses make up almost half of the total Niagara Health System staff complement. Nurses across the six sites of the NHS care for a staggering 500,000 patients each year.
Recognition events during the week include Celebration Teas at each of our sites, a Nursing Dinner and Nursing Excellence Awards. Awards will be given out at the Nursing Dinner to recipients who have been nominated by their peers from across Niagara.
