Posted Sep 24th, 2012

The Urgent Care Centre and other services at the Ontario Street Site of the Niagara Health System (NHS) will remain open as usual to treat patients throughout the duration of the Niagara Wine Festival.

The Ontario Street Site, located at 155 Ontario St. in St. Catharines, is across from Montebello Park, the hub of the Niagara Wine Festival. The Urgent Care Centre located at the site is open daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Other ambulatory services provided at the site include dialysis and endoscopy. These services will be available as usual.

Members of the public seeking medical care and treatment at the Urgent Care Centre on Saturday, September 29,during the Wine Festival’s Grande Parade will be able to access the centre by travelling to the Ontario Street and Welland Avenue intersection.

Uniformed Niagara Regional Police officers will be stationed at the Welland Avenue and Ontario Street barricade. Upon arrival at the intersection barricade, members of the public seeking medical care should advise the officers so they can be permitted through the barricade and proceed to the Urgent Care Centre.
