Hamilton Health Sciences and the Niagara Health System will be hosting a media conference in partnership on Wednesday, May 16 at 10:30 a.m. to share the Cancer System Quality Index (CSQI) 2012 results for the Hamilton-Niagara-Haldimand-Brant regional cancer program area.
The CSQI tracks Ontario’s progress against cancer and points out where cancer service providers can make quality and performance improvements. The CSQI, released by the Cancer Quality Council of Ontario (CQCO), presents a rolling snapshot of activity in 32 evidence-based measures from prevention through palliative care.
Dr. Janice Giesbrecht, NHS Medical Director of Oncology, will be on hand to explain how the regional program results relate to current and future trends in cancer care in the Niagara region.
