This past Friday, Surgeon Dr. Anna Kobylecky provided the news media with a tour of our new Operating Suites, Recovery area and other Surgical Program space to demonstrate how patients having a surgical procedure will be provided with the best possible care experience.
We have looked at the whole Surgical Program as one space in our planning. All of the ORs are large, well planned and technologically advanced. We have also looked at the Recovery area and the way the patients flow through the system. All of these spaces are designed to function based on current and future needs.

The ORs feature lights and other equipment suspended from the ceiling, eliminating clutter, easing cleaning and maximizing manoeuverability.
Only 234 days until construction is complete!
As departments are completed, we’ve begun providing media tours featuring health-care providers who helped shape the design based on their areas of expertise, enabling us to illustrate to the greater Niagara community how our new hospital will enable us to provide care in new ways.
The first of this series showcased the Critical Care Unit with Dr. Mark Jany. Stay tuned for future updates as we prepare to provide one million square feet of care!
