Fall Health Education Series begins with sessions on preventing diabetes

Almost 10 per cent of Niagara adults have type 2 diabetes. Learn about risk factors, symptoms, lifestyle changes and treatment options to prevent this growing issue. These sessions will include presentations by Niagara Health System care providers, question and answer periods, and displays and handouts by the Canadian Diabetes Association.

Sep. 29 – 6:30 p.m Welland Site, Auditorium, 65 Third St., Welland
Oct. 04 – 6:30 p.m OSS, 6th Floor Boardroom, 155 Ontario St., St. Catharines
Presentations by: Dr. Chilango Mulaisho, Endocrinologist; Rose Bozza, Registered Nurse; Mary Hanlin, Registered Dietitian
Oct. 06 – 6:30 p.m. Centre de Santé Communautaire, 810 Main St. East, Welland
Presentation in French by Dr. Monzer Malak; Nicole Lavoie, Registered Nurse; Marie-France Gauvin,Registered Dietitian. Special thanks to the Centre de Santé Communautaire for its partnership.
