Dr. Julian Dobranowski appointed to new role at McMaster University

Congratulations to Dr. Julian Dobranowski, Niagara Health’s Chief of Diagnostic Imaging, who has been named chair of the Department of Radiology for the Faculty of Health Sciences at McMaster University.

Dr. Dobranowski, a long-time McMaster University professor, begins his five-year term at McMaster on Feb. 1.

"Dr. Dobranowski’s appointment to this important role is a testament to his exemplary career as a world-renowned physician, educator and researcher," says Dr. Johan Viljoen, Niagara Health’s Chief of Staff and Executive Vice President Medical.

In addition to his roles at Niagara Health and McMaster, Dr. Dobranowski is the provincial head of the Cancer Imaging Program at Cancer Care Ontario and is the clinical lead for Access to Care MRI/CT.

Dr. Dobranowski, who joined the Niagara Health team in 2016, has been a faculty member at McMaster since 1988, following his medical training in Poland, radiology training at McMaster and a fellowship at Western University.
