Provincial government approves renovations at DMH site

Posted Apr 9th, 2013

Niagara Health System is pleased to announce we have received Ontario government approval to move ahead with renovations at the Douglas Memorial Hospital Site. This project will see the relocation of all Complex Care beds at the site to one area, and will also result in patient-centred improvements to the Palliative Care area.

"This is a great step forward for health care in Fort Erie," said Interim President and CEO Dr. Sue Matthews. "We are grateful to the Ontario government for their support of this project, and we look forward to enhancing the environment and experience for those we serve at Douglas Memorial Hospital."

The project will cost approximately $500,000. Construction will commence immediately, during which the NHS team will work to minimize disruption to patient care.
