“At Niagara Health, we are a caring group of people and together we can make a difference again this year for those in need in our community,” says NHS President Suzanne Johnston, who is Co-Chair of the NHS Campaign.

United Way of St. Catharines and District Executive Director Frances Hallworth and Chair Anita Robertson attended today’s kick-off event and acknowledged the ongoing hard work and support of Niagara Health System over the years.

Guest speaker Vanessa Coens from Autism Ontario shared her personal story of her son’s diagnosis with autism spectrum disorder and the support that her family has received through the United Way.

NHS team members were encouraged to continue their generous support for the United Way to help fund essential programs and services, improve lives and create positive impact in Niagara.

Any NHS team member who makes a yearly pledge commitment will receive a specially made NHS United Way T-shirt to acknowledge their support and create awareness about the campaign.

“Niagara Health System is one of the largest employers in Niagara and it is important that we give back to the community,” says Suzanne Johnston. “I am really proud of the support we have given to the United Way over the years and look forward to our ongoing support of community agencies in our region, many of them our partners in care.”
